In many ways, designing an interior is very much like assembling a puzzle. The overall look and feel are not determined by the individual pieces in isolation, but rather the combination of thoughtfully selected elements incorporated into a well articulated context. To this end, we universally employ a body of guiding principles which are fundamental to creating extraordinary spaces under any circumstance regardless of whether the client's style is traditional, eclectic, rustic or modern.

Ty Larkins Interiors is a full service interior design firm specializing in high end residential and commercial hospitality projects. Our design approach is "livable elegant modern" for how we live today. We emphasize mixing antiques, vintage and new modern clean lined pieces in a sophisticated, unpredictable yet harmonious way.

Ty Larkins

P R I N C I P A L

Following a 10 year practice of law, Ty switched careers to follow his passion for interior design and launched his company in 2006 becoming an almost overnight success. Ty's work has been featured in national and local publications including House Beautiful, Southern Living, HGTV magazine, Living Etc., New Orleans magazine, InRegister, Louisiana Homes and Gardens, Our Louisiana, Louisiana Life and 225 magazine. He has also made numerous appearances on the HGTV network series Dream House for a home he designed for a young family in a Chicago suburban neighborhood.

Rachel Todd

S E N I O R D E S I G N E R

Rachel grew up in New Hampshire where she discovered her love for architecture and interior design at a young age. She was influenced by the classic and historical architecture of the northeast which informed her design sensibilities. She pursued her dream by attending LSU’s school of Interior Design where she graduated with a BA in Interior Design. Upon graduation, Rachel started working for Ty Larkins Interiors in 2014 where she assists Ty in all stages of the design process from conception, development to implementation. Rachel also coordinates purchase orders for the firm's projects, communicates with vendors and works closely with clients to ensure the design process flows smoothly.

Michelle Camalo

D E S I G N E R

Michelle Camalo specializes in uniquely designed spaces that reflect the lifestyle of the firm's clients. She received a Bachelor of Interior Design from Louisiana State University whose CIDA accredited program ranked as one of the Top 10 in the Nation during her attendance. An innate creative talent, a love of travel and an eye for beautiful things led her to pursue a career in residential design upon graduation. Known for her work ethic, expertise in styling and detail management, Michelle has worked with Ty Larkins Interiors since 2010. She currently oversees the firm's Lafayette, LA office where she is primarily responsible for managing clientele locally and in the surrounding areas.
